I'm pretty much stuck to picking up things for ~$1000 until I get a better job, I'm pretty close to paycheck-to-paycheck. But whenever that happens, more interesting cars will very much happen

Haha, I get that....my friend who makes the most money still hates paying anything for cars. The only thing he's bought for more than $1000 in the last year has been his Frontier that he got because it's nice to have a truck around

They can be had for less....I had an ‘81 633csi for $1000, also 5 speed. Had fun with it for a few months and then sold it for $1500. The only issue is, if you drive one, you'll be hooked. Now I can't stop looking for another one
